Full-Time | On-Site (40 hours/week)

We are seeking a loan Officer who is passionate about assisting members with their lending needs while delivering exceptional service and sound financial solutions.

This position serves as a key member of the lending team, responsible for interviewing members, processing and evaluating consumer loan applications, making informed lending decisions within established authority limits, and ensuring compliance with Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-driven, and capable of managing a high-volume loan portfolio while building strong relationships with members.

What You’ll Do

  • Interview members and process consumer loan applications for secured and unsecured lending products, including credit cards and consumer loans.
  • Analyze financial and credit information to evaluate creditworthiness and make informed lending recommendations.
  • Review applications to ensure compliance with lending policies, underwriting guidelines, and applicable regulations.
  • Answer member questions regarding loan products, terms, and borrowing options.
  • Cross-sell and promote additional Credit Union products and services that meet members’ financial needs.
  • Assist members with ancillary lending products when appropriate.
  • Refer lending opportunities to the Lending Manager, Chief Operations Officer, or other designated personnel as needed.
  • Maintain and process a high volume of loan applications while ensuring accuracy and service excellence.
  • Build and maintain positive member relationships through professional communication and consultative service.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and special projects as assigned.
  • Support department goals and contribute to overall organizational success.

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in lending, banking, credit unions, or financial services preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw sound conclusions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and member service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of applicable lending regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related lending systems.
  • Notary Public license preferred or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire.
