At Explorers Credit Union, we believe in financial empowerment and meaningful connections—starting with our people. We’re creating a new Part-Time Human Resources Generalist role to support and strengthen the full employee lifecycle as our Credit Union grows.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will serve as the primary internal HR resource for a team of 30–35 employees. You’ll build and manage onboarding and offboarding programs, support performance management, administer employee benefits, and partner closely with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to ensure compliance and consistency. The ideal candidate is experienced, approachable, and confident working independently while guiding leaders and employees through HR processes.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain consistent onboarding and offboarding programs that create a positive, structured employee experience.

• Support and administer the full employee lifecycle, including hiring coordination, development, and separation processes.

• Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, employee questions, vendor coordination, and communication.

• Partner with the PEO to coordinate HR administration, compliance support, payroll-related employment changes, and employee documentation.

• Support performance management processes, including review cycles, goal tracking, and performance improvement documentation.

• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee matters.

• Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution, ensuring issues are handled professionally and appropriately.

• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

• Support recruiting administration, including job postings, candidate coordination, and pre-employment processes.

• Track employee training in partnership with compliance and leadership.

• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience across employee relations, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and performance management.

• Strong working knowledge of HR practices, documentation, and compliance considerations.

• Experience working with a PEO, benefits provider, or external HR partner preferred.

• Proven ability to serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and handle sensitive employee matters with discretion.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring processes independently.

• Comfort working in a standalone HR role in a part-time capacity.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
