Loan Production Officer

We are always looking for qualified candidates to expand our Dakota MAC team. A Loan Production Officer will serve the financial needs of our ag customers by providing products and services to satisfy their needs and the service necessary for their effective use.  All such sales and services will be offered with the highest consideration given to our quality service standards, recognizing that quality is the key to retaining and expanding relationships. Must have a knowledge of the agricultural industry and 5+ years of experience in lending. Location for this position is TBD.
 
Business Development
  1. Develop goals to expand existing relationships by identifying unmet needs and offering solutions.
  2. Develop goals to expand branch loan volume of high-qualified agri-business loans and manage past due accounts related to acquired loan volume.
  3. Possess a thorough knowledge of the various products and services offered by the Bank with emphasis on Agricultural operations and agri-businesses.
 
Retention of Existing Ag Customer Relationships 
  1. Ensure that policies and procedures are understood, communicated and adhered to.
  2. Provide service that is professional, accurate, and timely through the effective use of time management and organizational skills.
 
Knowledge
  1. Operate a personal computer with special emphasis on Microsoft Office products and web based platforms.
  2. Accurately prepare and analyze projected cash flows.
  3. Communicate effectively through proper written and oral communication skills.
  4. Be knowledgeable of the commercial bank function with emphasis on areas related to lending and production agriculture.
 
Public Relations and Community Involvement
  1. To actively participate and assume leadership roles in agricultural and service related organizations that will benefit the Bank and its commitment to area agricultural communities.
  2. Be aware of the community’s activities and development and identify the Department’s opportunities for leadership and business development.
 
Team or Project Leader
  1. Provide leadership to those projects and activities of the Bank that promote its objectives.
 
Physical Demands
  1. Sitting, standing and walking for various times throughout the day.
  2. Bend, squat, crouch, push/pull, reach above shoulder level and climb 3-4 ft. high occasionally.
  3. Requires occasionally carrying and lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequently carrying up to 10 lbs.
  4. Requires both simple and firm grasping.
  5. Requires driving automotive equipment.
