"I nominate and select Blake Saffel for the entrepreneur of the year for the Boys & Girls Club of Yankton Lemonade Day 2025. Blake came in each week willing to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur and helped lead his group to a successful day of selling some delicious lemonade to fellow club members and members of the Yankton community.
Blake and his group had an interesting idea to add not only a slice of lemon as a garnish but to also add fresh coconut flakes to really make his group's lemonade stand out from the rest. So not only did Blake add an interesting twist to the flavor of lemonade, but we all learned at The Boys & Girls Club how to properly drain and open a coconut. During one of the weeks a new member of The Club really wanted to participate in Lemonade Day and Blake immediately offered to let this member join his group so they could learn how to be an entrepreneur. When Blake was asked what his favorite parts of the whole Lemonade Day experience were, he said it was making the lemonade and a chance to earn his own money.
