Job Summary
The Commercial Banking & Business Development Officer focuses on driving growth by identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new commercial clients, building strong relationships, and expanding the bank's market presence.
Essential Functions
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify potential commercial clients through market research, industry networks, referrals, and events.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships to secure new business and increase revenue. Maintains a robust referral network for the purpose of business development.
Business Development: Develop and execute a strategic prospecting plan to build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
Cross-Selling: Increase and optimize customer relationships by cross-selling other bank services.
Deposit Management: Manage, maintain, and grow existing deposit portfolios.
Client Needs Analysis: Analyze the needs of prospects and provide information about bank products and services.
Industry Knowledge: Maintain an advanced knowledge of financial industry status and trends.
Compliance: Ensure implementation and compliance to meet security precautions and protect customer deposits, bank assets, and staff.
Communication: Maintain the highest level of customer service standards, assuring that customer complaints are responded to in a timely manner.
Teamwork: Ability to work well independently and in teams.
Community Involvement: Attend community events that promote EVB and/or promote community involvement to generate new business.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
