Auto Mastery (formerly known as John’s Service) is a family operated business located in the heart of Yankton, SD. We are looking for reliable, experienced, preferably a Level A or B technician, car enthusiast to join our service team. Automotive Technician duties and responsibilities:
An Automotive Technician must have a solid understanding of automotive engines and systems. Their primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, which could include oil change, battery installations, service transmissions and brake systems, air conditioner recharges, and everything related to tires.
- Conducting diagnostic procedures to identify the cause of automotive issues and make effective and accurate recommendations
- Conducting necessary repairs and testing vehicles
- Inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards
- Maintaining knowledge of current industry best practices
- Maintaining a clean and safe workplace
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in safely using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and safety
- Customer service-oriented with good communication skills (proficient in English and open to multiple languages)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Monday-Friday: 8am-5:30pm
