Description
The Yankton Seed Library returns to welcome in spring! Celebrate your passion for gardening with this year’s theme: Grow What You Love. Join us on Tuesday, April 14, at 2:00 pm or 6:00 pm to hear about soil blocking, a seed starting method that can be used to save space and get high sprouting rates. Home gardeners have found soil blocking easy to do with a few special tools and techniques. Sherri Rodgers-Conti, owner of Twin Silos Flower Farm, will explain and demonstrate how to start seed indoors using the soil blocking method. Attendees may bring a small meat tray to make and take a sample soil block home!
The Yankton Seed Library hosts classes on the second Tuesday of every month, from February to October, at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Classes are held at the Yankton Community Library, 515 Walnut Street, and are free and open to the public. Not able to attend the class? Watch the class live on our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@yanktoncommunitylibrary/live.
