Have you ever wondered what to expect when you vote, or felt unsure about the measures appearing on the ballot? On Tuesday, October 27, at 6 pm, the League of Women Voters of Southeast South Dakota is sponsoring “What’s On the Ballot? A Hands-On Guide to Voting with Confidence” at the Yankton Community Library (515 Walnut St). This presentation will be led by Carson Walker, the CEO of South Dakota News Watch and Dr. Richard Braunstein a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of South Dakota.
This nonpartisan educational event will walk participants through the voting experience, address common challenges that keep people from voting, and provide information about the ballot measures voters will encounter this fall. Whether you’re a first-time voter, a newly naturalized citizen, or simply looking to feel more prepared, this event is for you.
