The program “The Changing Landscape of Civics & Media,” will be presented at the Yankton Community Library, 515 Walnut St., on Wednesday, January 21, at 6:00 p.m.
Doug Haar, Yankton High School Government instructor and Carson Walker, CEO of South Dakota News Watch will discuss how the nation’s founders intended for the three branches of government and a free press to keep elected leaders accountable to the people.
League of Women Voters representatives will be available to assist with voter registration. Light refreshments will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the League of Women Voters, this free program is open to all. No registration is required.
