The event aims to shift the focus from the big-box rush of Black Friday to the heart of the community - its local entrepreneurs.\n\n \n\n"Pink Friday is all about showing love to the small businesses that create jobs\, give back to local causes\, and make Yankton such a special place to live\," said Lauren Heinrichs\, Business Services Director at Yankton Thrive. "By shopping local first\, every purchase helps strengthen our economy and support our neighbors."\n\n \n\n"Yankton is quickly becoming a destination for many out of town shoppers from all around the area\, and we are so proud to be part of this\," said Carla Mueller\, owner of 9th Street Clothing Co.
